A Nags Head Honey Hole
Last fall Capt. Reese Stecher and I had about two hours to fish at Nags Head. Reese said he had found a hot spot, a honey hole that he didn’t know existed and he’s been doing charters for 20 years. How To Get There
The best way to get to the Outer Banks is to hop in a twin engine Cessna at the Charlottesville Albemarle Regional Airport and touch down in Manteo about 45 minutes later. The next best way is to avoid I-64 from Richmond to Hampton Roads and take Rt. 460 from Petersburg to Sussex, then over to Great Bridge. Fishing On The Outer Banks
The best thing to do on the Outer Banks, particularly at Nags Head, is to pull up a lawn chair beside the sound, pour a glass of white wine and watch the sunset. Each one is spectacular. The Outer Banks is pirate country and the site of the Lost Colony. Thus, there is lots of history and places to visit and a trip to the NC Aquarium at Manteo is always a family favorite.
