What better “Road Trip” could there be than one with super good music and super good barbeque – all at the same time. There is such a Road Trip, and a convenient one to those in Central Virginia. How about a Wednesday evening visit to the Lazy Parrot Grill in Charlottesville, where the chefs stoke the hardwood in their big barbeque grill for some great ‘cue. And entertaining guests as they order drinks and decide which succulent barbeque dish they would like is the renowned Jimmy O, an artist dedicated to Preserving Endangered Music – the great songs from the past.
One song after another, Jimmy O returns his audience to days gone by, the days of Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, Dion, Jimmy Buffet, Neil Diamond, Buddy Holly and of course, the King, Elvis Presley.
Every Wednesday night from 7 to 10 PM, Jimmy O plays at the Lazy Parrot Backyard Barbeque. Before or after dinner, you can dance if the mood hits you, and it likely will. Jimmy also plays the Lazy Parrot on Tuesday evenings, sans the outdoor barbeque.
The weather is cooling down and a busy fall looms ahead. The next few Wednesdays make a perfect opportunity to get outdoors, unwind, eat some great food and be thoroughly entertained. The Lazy Parrot Grill is located in the Pantops Shopping Center at the foot of Pantops Mountain in Charlottesville. For more information, visit jimmovirgina.com or lazyparrotbackyardbbq.com.
