I made a fun dish yesterday – Pizza Sliders. The kids I cook for love pizza, and they enjoy sliders.
Bingo!
Pizza Sliders are easy to prepare, they cook in no time, and they are fun to eat. Some make these sliders as an appetizer, but I did mine as a main course and I made plenty. Here’s how.
To make a dozen sliders (I made more), start with a package of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. Slice the rolls in half with a large, serrated knife and don’t separate the individual rolls, just set aside the top layer. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce across the top of the rolls, then add 3 slices of pepperoni over each individual roll. Next, spread 2 C of grated mozzarella cheese over the rolls and put the lids (tops) back on. Melt 1/2 stick non-salted butter (you will not go to hell if you use salted butter) and add 1 t onion powder, 1 t garlic powder. 1 t Italian seasoning, some salt and pepper to the melted butter. Pour across the tops of the rolls, cover the rolls with foil and pop in a 375 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Good stuff!
