Now is the time that many of us go into pre-panic mode, trying to find a Christmas gift for Mr. or Mrs. Very-Hard-To-Please. Don’t panic. Take a chill pill and may I suggest a mini, hand-held, electric chainsaw?
I am serious. This is a neat gift for anyone that likes to putz around in the yard. I actually gave one to my wife Nancy, and she loves it. The little saw is cordless and electric, so there is no cranking and hope-it-will start business. It starts every time you turn on the switch, and while it won’t take down a big limb, it’s hell on the little ones. It will cut a limb or branch up to 4-inches in diameter. It is suitable for all sorts of wood cutting, tree branch pruning and even gardening.
It’s lightweight. You can literally operate it with one hand. It’s quiet and efficient and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg – less than eighty-bucks.
There are several brands on the market. Ours was made by a company called FiLiGRee. It is easy to assemble – takes about a minute – and a breeze to operate. We love it. It did and would continue to make a unique Christmas present.
