Face it. Eating out at Sam’s Club may not offer the best in ambience, and it’s self- serve, but the food there is pretty good. Their hot dogs are big, fat Nathan’s franks. The condiments leave a little to be desired, but the dogs are wonderful and cheap as dirt. Their salads and the ice cream are also good, and if you order a slice of pizza, they give you two. I guess Sam’s figures the longer they can keep you in their store, even if for cheap food, the better they like it.
But what is really special at Sam’s Club is the Member’s Mark take-home pizza. The thing is as big as a flying saucer and loaded with cheese and pepperoni and it’s only $6.95. That’s $6.95!
This isn’t a large pizza, by the way, it’s a huge pizza, and it is extra good. They were giving away free slices as samples a week or so back and I tried one. It was delicious, as good if not better than a take-out from any of the local pizzerias.
Maybe next time you’re in the pizza mood, stop by Sam’s Club and pick up one of their Member’s Mark Pepperoni Pizzas, but make sure you’re hungry. They are monsters.
