Pentatonix is coming to Charlottesville on December 9 at JPJ, and I believe some tickets remain. If you ever go, this is the one concert to see.
We saw the acapella group last summer in Northern Virginia, but this is their Christmas concert – their specialty.
I didn’t know this about Pentatonix, but the group is very religious. They pray together before each performance and their faith shines through. The group says that their unique harmonies are meant to share their faith.
“Music was created by the Creator. So, when you align to the Creator and how He’s purposely using it, then you get the true strength of what it’s called to be,†say Pentatonix members Matt Sallee and Kevin Olusola. “We pray so much before shows together because we want to be aligned to our Creator, that even though people may not see Jesus physically on the stage, they’ll feel Jesus through us.”
Since 2011, the group has sold over 10 million albums, garnered millions of subscribers on their YouTube channel, and continually tour the globe, even performing at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2023.
We’ll be there next Saturday to get the Christmas season off to a spectacular start. See you there!
