The best burger in Cville? It’s hard to say. We certainly have lots of good choices. One restaurant that stands out, though, is Timberwood Grill near Forest Lakes.
Often, when Nancy and I eat out on short notice, we choose Timberwood. They have nice exterior dining on pleasant evenings and in the winter, we like to pull up a stool and sit at the bar. Without exception, the service has always been solid and the food has been top notch. I ordered one of their burgers not long ago with a big plate of fries and it was delicious.
I was hungry and went for the Chuck Norris Burger, advertised as “the biggest, baddest burger on the planet.” The big patty of meat comes with sauteed mushrooms and onions, swiss cheese, cole slaw, lettuce, tomato and pickles all stacked high on a toasted, buttered bun. At twelve bucks, it hits that special burger spot, and they will cook to your specifications (ie: pink). All Timberwood burgers, by the way, come with hand cut fries, bean salad, or cole slaw
Timberwood Grill is locally owned, and features made-in-house American cuisine, craft beers, a full bar and a very friendly wait staff. Management brags that most employees have been with them for quite a while, a sign of a good working environment.
Timberwood has an extensive menu and lots of great sandwich options, but their burgers alone are worth a visit.
Timberwood Grill is located at 3311 Worth Crossing. They are open daily until 9 PM.
