Pentatonix is coming to Charlottesville on December 9 at JPJ, and I believe some tickets remain. If you ever go, this is the one concert to see. Food Lion Shrimp
We had some shrimp cocktail as an appetizer recently, and the shrimp were out of sight. Succulent, juicy, delicious. They tasted like they just came from the nets of a shrimp trawler out of Wanchese, North Carolina. Turns out, they were from Food Lion – extra-large, fully-cooked shrimp, about 26-30 per pound. Trophy Trout Time
The Bay’s water temperature is currently hovering in the high 50s, which means that the trophy speckled trout are on the feed. Specks like cold weather and they are hitting bais under popping corks, swim baits and Mirro-Lures in most of the tidal inlets, creeks, and rivers. Our community grocery store, Reid’s Super Save, is making a great comeback. About 25 years ago, I got a call from Neil Selby up in Remington. “Can you be up here about 5 tomorrow morning? The weatherman called for rain this past Tuesday, but I didn’t realize that he called for all of the rain on one day. Our rain gauge on Wednesday morning measured just shy of 6 inches.
