Last Saturday and Sunday, the Rudee Angler out of Virginia Beach took advantage of favorable weather and Virginia’s special February black sea bass season. On New Year’s Day, Clifton Joel Hamilton caught a 4-12 spotted bass at Claytor Lake, a state record for this species.
