I make a dish called Blueberry Stuff – basically a blueberry cobbler but laced with extra butter for yummy goodness. I needed a dessert recently and had 4 Granny Smith apples staring me down, so I decided to make a batch of Apple Stuff. It was as good as the Blueberry Stuff. This is a great dessert option if you don’t have a lot of time and want to “Wow” your guests.
Here’s how.
(This recipe will fit nicely in a 9×9 baking dish and will serve 4. Double the ingredients for a 9 x 13 casserole dish if you need more.)
Melt a half stick of butter in the bottom of a 9 x 9 baking dish. In a separate bowl, mix 7/8 C Bisquick mix with 3/8 C sugar. Blend well then add 1/2 C milk. Stir out all the lumps and pour directly on the melted butter. Finally, peel and slice 4 Granny Smith apples (about 3 C) and spread on top of the mix. Don’t stir, it all works out in the end.
Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes. Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and neither you nor your guests will not be disappointed.
