When we can, Nancy and I like to slip down to the Gloucester/Deltaville area for short vacations. We have found a really cool little Thrift Shop in the Cobbs Creek area that we make it a point to stop by and visit.
I usually try to avoid going to these types of stores, but this one is different. They have a huge selection of most interesting clothing, gifts, home accessories, furniture, knick-knacks, books and most anything you can think of. They have, for example, an excellent selection of used fishing equipment – top names like Garcia, Penn, and Shimano. They also have some very nice men’s clothing – most of which is preppy or nautical in style. I bought a couple of great shirts from Columbia and Tommy Hilfiger and have received compliments since wearing them.
The store is located at 2066 Buckley Hall Road (the intersection of Rt, 3 and Rt. 198). It’s about 15 minutes from most of the towns -Gloucester, Mathews, Deltaville and not thar far from Urbanna. If you are on Middle Peninsula, you’re within a short drive. Make it a point to stop by if you’re in those parts and try not to buy something.
