The folks up at Forest Lakes are heartbroken as their go-to pizza shop – End Zone – has shuttered its doors.
From all of us closer to town, we heartily recommend Vocelli’s to our northern neighbors. A superior pizzeria, the Vocelli’s crusts are always delicious and perfectly cooked. We especially enjoy their thin crust pizzas, and their toppings are spot on. Their salads, however, are special. Nancy and her crew at Nancy Bs often spring for a large salad for lunch and their Pepperoni Rolls are addictive say one and all. Plus, I rate their subs as the best in town.
The owners at Vocelli’s have just opened a New Orleans-themed restaurant – Roux Street Café. The Louisiana-style café is located in the Woodbrook Shopping center and serves up authentic Cajun dishes such as Shrimp and Grits, Red Beans and Rice, Gumbo, Jambalaya, and other tangy delicacies. I have not had the chance to visit yet, but it’s getting 5-star reviews from those who love Creole Cooking.
So don’t despair about pizza or Cajun cooking with Vocelli’s and Roux Street Café in the neighborhood.
