Years ago, when we were newlyweds, Jim took me deep sea fishing, and I got a good case of sea sickness. The captain felt sorry for me and said he could drop me off on a tiny island out in the ocean and pick me up when they were through fishing. I didn’t know he was teasing and I begged him to do just that. We were far off shore and of course there was no island or land anywhere near. I was sick, but managed to fall asleep. When I awoke, it was raining and the fish were almost jumping into the boat. I started fishing and ended up having a great time. After getting off the boat, I rocked for several days which was terrible.
On a special anniversary, we went on a cruise to Hawaii and the first night was very rocky and brought back bad memories. The next day, we were off the ship in Maui, and my first stop was at a drug store where I purchased my first Sea-Bands. They are wonderful! No drugs, no patches, just the bands around my wrists.
The Sea-Band Nausea relief has been clinically tested against nausea and vomiting in travel, pregnancy, post-operative, chemotherapy, and other conditions which induce nausea. The bands operate by exerting pressure on the acupressure point on each wrist. One band must be worn on each wrist to be effective. They really work and I never go on a boat or a ship without mine.
