One casualty of the recent cinderblock snowstorm was a beautiful ceramic bowl that served as our bird bath for the front yard. Apparently, our small bird bath water heater was not on guard duty when the temps hit the teens, and the ensuing ice caused the bowl to crack. When the ice melted, all the water ran out. But my industrious wife and a product called J-B Weld brought the lovely bowl back to life.
Some time ago, Nancy discovered J-B Weld. I think she saw it advertised on TV and since then she has used it to seal lots of water-related products. A two-part epoxy, it works on aluminum, fiberglass, metal, wood and plastics and on any type of watercraft or accessory – and, yes, on bird baths. Not a drop of water has leaked from our now water-proof bowl. The birds love it and so do we.
J-B Weld. Neat stuff. Get some.
