I have sort of tip-toed my way into the world of air fryers. My daughter swore by hers. I saw a small one on sale at Aldi’s for about $30, so I bought it. I found it extremely handy for warming things up – like meat, breads, and fried foods – things that might get “wimpy” in a micro-wave. The little air fryer was quick and efficient and saved having to heat up the entire oven.
A couple months back, our oven went on the blink and while we were trying to track down parts (which we couldn’t) or find one to fit in the old space (which was difficult), we were without an oven, and when you cook for another family, that presents a problem.
I went to Sam’s Club and saw an Emeril Lagasse French Door Air Fryer and bought it. It is one of the most versatile products in our house.
The fancy air fryer will do everything but clean fish. It has a built-in oven, a food dehydrator, a rotating rotisserie, a toaster feature and will cook everything from pizza to slow cooked roasts.
Last night, for a quick meal, I put some crispy fish fillets in the basket, and it was cooked perfectly in 10 minutes.
We have always wished for a 2-oven kitchen, and now we have one. We can bake a chicken in the air fryer and put two pies in the oven – at the same time.
I love it and have some interesting recipes I’m eager to try out. It’s a high quality and most useful product.
