My wife Nancy enjoys working in the yard – which has relieved me of many things I definitely do not enjoy. I mow the grass, piddle in the garden, suck up leaves in the fall and that’s about it. Nancy, though, will get out the weed-eater and trim up my work, she has about a hundred pots with flowers, three garden beds and she keeps our goldfish pond in pristine condition. For her, yard work is therapy, and I am blessed beyond measure. As a result, I often buy her gizmos for yard work as presents– like an electric weed-eater and other yard paraphernalia.
Not long ago, I saw an advertisement for electric, cordless pruning shears made by Wood Ranger and I gave that a shot as a Mother’s Day gift.
She loves it.
In the past, when she has gone after the azalea and forsythia bushes, she has used manual shears and often lacked the strength to cut the thicker branches.
These electric pruning shears require no strength. You squeeze the lever, and it does the work effortlessly. The shears handle everything from delicate rose bushes to thick woody branches with ease and precision.
The cordless pruning shears come with 2 batteries, so you can alternate their use, when one battery is being used, allowing another battery to be charged, saving time, and improving efficiency.
The shears come with imported SK5 blades, known for hardness, sharpness, and durability. The battery pruning shears effortlessly cut through branches up to about an inch and a half thick.
They are so effective they almost make me want to go out and do some trimming and yard work. Well, almost, but not quite.
