Nancy spent hours and hours in the kitchen in advance of Thanksgiving, baking pies and cakes, roasting turkeys, making dressing, snacks and so forth, but one thing she didn’t have to worry with this year was Mashed Potatoes. Our friend, Bob Evans, handled that and did an excellent job.
Bob Evans, of course, is a restaurant chain based in Ohio with over 430 locations nationwide. They compete with folks like Cracker Barrel and Denny’s for home-style cooked meals. One of the Bob Evan’s specialties is their mashed potatoes, and they also offer them in most supermarkets in the convenient food sections.
The potatoes come in several varieties, but their basic Mashed Potatoes made with milk, butter and potatoes are the best. They Bob Evans Potatoes are known for being a quick heat-and-eat meal solution, perfect for weeknights or family dinners, providing comfort food flavor without the fuss of peeling and mashing. Plus, they are not all that expensive. I think I paid $5.99 for the Family Size, a 32-oz. tray that serves 6.
