I know people who can clean and service their own gas logs. And then there’s me. One time I disassembled the logs to get at the pilot light, then couldn’t get the logs back together. I didn’t do well with Lincoln Logs, either.
So, for the past few years, we’d call a professional each fall to come out and get the logs in working order. The first year, I called one of the gas log specialists in town and when he rendered the bill, it was about like the cost of a knee replacement without insurance. Holy Moly! It might have been cheaper to buy new gas logs.
About three years ago, while one of the Tiger Fuel guys was filling our tank with propane, I asked if he knew of someone to service gas logs that was reasonable. He said his company, Tiger Fuel, did such work, and he thought the prices were fair. We called Tiger Fuel, they came out right away, did a professional job and we were more than pleased with their final bill.
Last week we had our gas logs serviced again by Tiger Fuel. Greg Scott, our regular service professional, checked the damper, vacuumed the logs and burner, blew out the dust from the pilot light, checked the log placement, checked for leaks, fired it up to his satisfaction and left us with an affordable bill.
If you have gas logs and need excellent and affordable service, call Tiger Fuel.
