From Your Sacred Self, by Dr. Wayne Dyer
Two babies were living in their mothers’ womb. Baby A and Baby B were arguing whether there is life after delivery. Baby A considered the notion nonsense. How would they walk? How would they eat? What kind of life could such a life possibly be? Baby B insisted that maybe they’ll walk and eat and live in ways they simply can’t imagine right now that maybe they’ll have legs to walk on, that they might not need an umbilical cord anymore, that perhaps there will be even a little more light.
The argument continued with Baby A shrewdly pointing out that no one has ever returned “After Delivery” and therefore “After Delivery” is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion.
But Baby B was unconvinced. He insisted that “After Delivery” they will meet Mother and Mother will take care of them. A statement that Baby B found utterly laughable. If Mother exited, Baby A pointed out, how can it be that no one has ever seen her?
The story ends with Baby B proclaiming to Baby A, that they are and always have been surrounded by Mother, and that, if you listen carefully “you can hear her loving voice calling down from above.”
