I know of a nine-year old boy who recently shot a deer. Pretty impressive, huh? But wait, there’s more.
He shot a six-point buck, certainly not an easy task. He also shot it with a pistol, a muzzle-loader pistol. How about that for impressive?
Cville Buzz contributor, Sherman Shifflett, said that young Gil Barlow’s deer was taken on Wednesday, November 8 near the Cuckoo community in Louisa County. It was Gil’s first deer ever and he dropped it at 30 yards. The weapon was a CVA 50-caliber black powder pistol. Gil attends Jouett Elementary School.
Nice job, Gil. I know your dad Greg Barlow is super proud.
