There have been many advertising campaigns using a similar slogan to, “When only the best will do.” As a matter of fact, Benson & Hedges, a cigarette manufacturer back in the Sixties, used that exact slogan to boast that their cigs were far superior to all others.
Chick-fil-A should do the same to promote their Chicken Sandwiches.
Last week, Nancy said she wasn’t particularly hungry at dinnertime, so I opted not to fix a big meal. I hadn’t had a good Chicken Sandwich in a while, so I decided to go get one and save having to cook. I had several options – Chick-fil-A, Bojangles, Burger King, and McDonald’s among others. I think all fast-food restaurants offer Chicken Sandwiches these days.
At the least minute, I decided on McDonald’s because it’s usually a quick line with no snags at the check-out. There were no snags, but the McCrunchy – as they refer to their Chicken Sandwich – was awful. It was soggy, not crunchy, cooked hours earlier. It had no sauce or lettuce or anything – just two pickles.
Next time I want a Chicken Sandwich, which will probably be a while, I’ll go to the one place you can always count on. Chick-fil-A – when only the best will do.
