There are a lot of good places to eat breakfast in Cville – IHOP, The Villa, Tip Top Restaurant, Tony’s Diner and others. but none are better than Sam’s Kitchen, a small diner tucked away in the corner of Woodbrook Shopping Center. Sam’s serves up meals throughout the day, but they serve breakfast all day, every day.
One of their specials is their noted Bountiful Brunch. It’s a genuine tummy filler which comes with 5 huge pancakes, two eggs and your choice of sausage, ham or bacon. Many try to eat it all, but most come up a pancake or two short, and it’s only $7.95
Another specialty at Sam’s Kitchen is their $9.50 Country Breakfast which includes two eggs any style, huge slices of country ham, grits or home fries and your choice of toast or biscuits, all for $9.50. Their basic Two Egg Breakfast comes with – yes – two eggs, plus bacon or sausage and toast or biscuits – a great value at $5.25
Sam’s Kitchen is not a fancy place, and the service can be a little slow because everything is cooked to order. But it is well worth the wait and one of the best values in town.
