Nancy and I were on our way back from a short vacation on the middle Peninsula. It was lunchtime and we had not packed sandwiches. We decided to pull into the next available food outlet, and it happened to be a Burger King. I have always liked Burger King burgers, but then again, I don’t think I’ve ever met a burger I didn’t like. So, we pulled up to the order stand and both decided, as a change of pace, on their Crunchy Chicken Sandwich, and it was amazingly good. Maybe not quite in the league as Chick-fil-A, but darned good.
Burger King’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich is an all-chicken patty, nicely seasoned with fresh, crispy lettuce, a slice of tomato, and creamy, seasoned mayonnaise on an oversized and toasted bun. We each wolfed down every bite and were glad we passed on the burgers.
All of the fast-food places are now trying to get in on the action created by Chick-fil-A and I think Burger King is right there near the top. The sandwich was about $7, but worth it, I thought.
I don’t eat fast food often, but if I am hungry and need a good sandwich, I’ll definitely look for Burger King again and their Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
