As many are aware, the Charlottesville Municipal Band is in the midst of an exciting fund drive and an anonymous donor has pledged to match all contributions up to $500,000. Monies received will go a long way to help permanently fund the band, a vital part of the Charlottesville community. So whatever you give will be matched, dollar for dollar.
But wait! There’s more!
Says Band Director, Steve Layman, “Everyone who donates at least $100 to the $500K challenge grant from now until December 31st will receive a FREE tasting certificate for DuCard Winery – a $20 value.”
DuCard is a beautiful winery in a majestic setting on the eastern edge of Shenandoah National Park, with mountain and vineyard views from the patios and streamside deck. Their solar powered tasting room uses local, reclaimed hardwoods, and they offer local foods to accompany the wines. DuCard features estate grown Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Virginia Native Norton wines, all hand crafted on site in limited quantities. Located in Madison County, DuCard is open Friday through Sunday, plus all Monday holidays. Hours are 11 am – 6 pm. From September through November the winery will be open seven days a week from 11am – 6pm.
DuCard is located at 40 Gibson Hollow Road in Etlan. Their web site is ducardvineyards.com. Call 540-923-4206 for information.
