A big bull dolphin!
In the Bay, it’s spot, spot, and more spot. Buckroe Pier and Ocean View Pier anglers are bringing them in by the cooler full. The Rapp is also producing lots of fish. Nice puppy drum are coming from across the Bay. Speckled trout are also biting at Hampton and all the inlets. The sheepshead bite is still on. Crabs have been the bait of choice. Anglers targeting big flounder are using live spot for bait. Rudee Inlet is giving up good catches of pups, specks, flounder and spot. Rough seas slowed the offshore fleet. Seabass are thick if you can get to them.

Storms on Wednesday slowed the action and dirtied the surf. Before the blow, big red drum and croakers were active in the surf. Monday was a great day on the piers with nice catches of blues, spot, albacore, flounder and spadefish. Sound fishermen caught specks, rocks, pups and flounder. Nearshore boats picked up blues, Spanish, ribbonfish and albacore.
When the blue water fleet sailed, they returned with Mahi, tuna, wahoo and lots of billfish releases.
