A road trip to Fishersville? Really? Yep, but your timing needs to be accurate. This road trip should take place between Feb. 26-28, to coincide with the 29th Annual Western Virginia Sport Show at the Augusta Expo in Fishersville. This show offers one of the best opportunities to hook up with a guide and enjoy that hunt of a lifetime. Everything from a South Dakota Pheasant hunt to an Elk Safari in Montana to a Black Bear adventure in Canada will be offered. Hunters can chat with their potential hosts one on one and get a feel for the action. It’s good information.
This family-friendly even also offers lots of things for the kids – like a trout-fishing tank and wildlife displays and seminars. There will be bunches of contests – Turkey Calling, the 2015 Big Buck Contest, an Indoor Bow Shoot and more. Neil Selby will offer dog training tips and the Welde family will present a live grizzly bear show. Here’s hoping the bear is well fed before he sees all those young, juicy children in the audience.
Lots of big names in the outdoor world will be on hand to offer tips for better hunting and fishing results in the future.
The show hours are noon to 9 PM on Friday, 10 AM till 9 PM on Saturday and noon to 5:30 PM on Sunday.
Ticket prices per day are: Adults, 12 yrs. and older $9.00; 5 to 11 yrs. $4.00; Children 4 and under are free.
See you there!
