Sounds like Waynesboro is the place to be in the coming weeks. For starters, there is the 1st Annual South River Fly Fishing expedition.
The event will be held on April 23-24th, 2016 on the banks of the South River near Downtown Waynesboro, Virginia.
The South River Fly Fishing Expo will showcase the incredible fly-fishing opportunities that are available on the South River and throughout the state of Virginia. The event will feature professional speakers from the fly-fishing industry, renowned fly tiers, local experts, conservation organizations and fly-fishing vendors. Local breweries, wineries and food vendors will also be on hand.
The South River Fly Fishing Expo will be entirely managed by volunteers. Half of the net proceeds from the South River Fly Fishing Expo will be used to enhance and preserve trout habitat on the South River and continue the river’s development as a premier fly-fishing destination.
