I got what I thought was another adult “sippy cup” for Father’s Day. I have a shelf full of them in the basement. But this one was a Yeti, a gift from my son Jimmie. I am familiar with Yeti coolers. I know they are super expensive and I can’t afford one, but people say that if you put ice in a Yeti cooler, you’ll have ice for a long time.
So rather than relegate my new Yeti Tumbler to the storage room, I gave it a try. I put ice in before a long car trip, and even after refilling several times with room temperature water, I still had ice after a 6-hour drive. If you only put water in once, you will have about as much ice at the end of a business day as when you began.
These are seriously good cups. They say the Yeti’s will keep coffee hot for several hours – no Thermos required. I haven’t tried that yet, but I will on my next car trip. As a gift or just to treat yourself, try a Yeti Tumbler. They’re about $30 each, but worth every nickel.
