Many do not know that I have a medical degree from Duke University (total BS). The reason I am not practicing today is that right after I became a doctor, I developed a unique patch, which helped people who had stopped smoking to start back up again. The tobacco companies thought it was a great idea, but my fellow docs kicked me out of the profession. Jealous of my ingenuity, I suppose.
However, I do have two tips I’d like to pass on concerning medical issues. Both have worked for me, but you may want to check with an actual doctor before taking my advice.
The first concerns allergies.
Each morning I have been coughing, hacking and sneezing since I can remember. In the past few years, I’d use a half box of tissues before I finished my second cup of coffee. The last time I went to my doc, I mentioned it and she suggested I use Flonase once in the morning and again at night, just one squirt in each nostril. She also suggested I continue my one Claritin a day, but at night. My sinuses and allergies are now 90% better. I actually am close to normal. Ask your doc if this over the counter combination works for you. It sure did for me.
Medical issue number two – and this does take a prescription.
Several years ago, I asked my GP, Dr. Ooghie, about a stubborn sore on my hand. He gave me about 4 small sample tubes of Mometasone Furate. He said just use a little bit and that the stuff was fairly expensive. The rash went away immediately and for the past ten years I have been putting little dabs on itches, burns, rashes, cuts, bites and whatever skin issues popped up. Then I finally ran out. On my last visit, I asked my current doc for a prescription, she came through and now I have a 15-gram tube. The other day I noticed an itch/rash between two fingers, I used a dab of Mometasone Furate and two days later it was totally gone. This stuff does miracles – for me, anyway.
I don’t know why Mometasone Furate is not sold over the counter, but it does require a prescription. Ask your doc about it. It’s good stuff!
By the way, I can personally can help you start smoking again if you’re having trouble!
