I have always known Sara Lee for the delicious frozen desserts. They make the best pound cake ever, as good as your grandmother’s recipe, though I have had a hard time finding it recently. Sara Lee also makes dynamite cheesecakes, pies and other sweets. It was only recently that I noticed they were also in the fresh bread business – big time. And in my humble opinion, they make the best tasting bread on the market today.
It’s like the old advertisement says: “Everybody doesn’t like something, but nobody doesn’t like Sara Lee.”
My daughter Angelin really triggered my new-found Sara Lee enthusiasm. She brought a back of Sara Lee Artesano rolls to some occasion. I ate one and it was like cake. It was scrumptious. I have since noticed an entire line of Artesano products
Says Sara Lee: Artesano, is an Artisan style bread, sliced thick with a mouthwateringly soft texture. Artesano transforms the routine into remarkable. With its rich flavor and distinctly creamy character, the flavors you love just taste better. Artesano is also made without high fructose corn syrup, added flavors or colors.
Sara Lee has an entire line of Artesano products from wheat breads, to regular sliced bread and rolls.
Sara Lee has also come out with easily the best tasting white wheat bread on the shelves that is low in calories but bursting in flavor. It’s called Sara Lee White, Made with Whole Grain.
The name Sara Lee got its start in 1956 when Consolidated Goods bought a company known as Kitchens of Sara Lee, which soon became one of the company’s best-known brand names. As of 2005, Sara Lee Corporation had operations in more than 40 countries and sold food, beverage, and household products in over 180 countries with some 137,000 employees worldwide.
If you haven’t tried the new Sara Lee breads, including the Artesano line, do yourself a favor and pick up a loaf or a package of rolls. It’s the best on the market.
