Almost every time I go to Sam’s Club, I run across something new and exciting and always great values.
A few weeks back, I wrote that Sam’s now has Wagyu beef, similar to the famous Kobe Beef of Japan.
I bought some, made a half-pound cheeseburger and gained 2 pounds the next morning. The reason the beef is so tender and so tasty is because it is loaded with fat. But it was an incredible burger – and you gotta die sometime.
This past week, I made another discovery. Sam’s now sells (or at least they did that day) USDA Prime filets. They were priced at $22 a pound, but they had reduced a package by a few bucks and I bought 4 filet mignons. They were cut-with-a-butter knife tender and beyond delicious. USDA Choice filets are good, but this is better. If you ever see any Prime cuts of steaks at Sam’s or Costco, buy them. It’s a new experience in flavor if you love beef as we do.
