Kobe-style Hamburger at Sam’s Club

February 25, 2021 By Jim Brewer

Sam’s Club never ceases to amaze me. They are always bringing in new and exciting products – most recently Kobe Beef hamburger.

Well, it’s really not Kobe (Japanese) hamburger. It’s the American version of Kobe beef – Wagyu Beef, and it’s just as good.

When we go to Bonefish Grill, if I don’t order Fish N Chips, I’ll order the Wagyu Burger – it is scrumptious.

Sam’s Club now stocks DeBragga, a New York’s Butcher’s Cut of Wagyu Ground Beef. Instead of mostly lean,  there is a ton of fat, which makes it melt-in-your-mouth tender and juicy to the max. The flavor is incredible. The blend includes Wagyu Brisket, Rib Caps and Short Ribs – perhaps the three most flavorful cuts on a steer. They use a 70% lean and 30% fat blend, packed loosely in one pound packages. I recommend two half-pound patties seared on a grill to a nice medium pink. Add an oversized bun, a big slice of Vidalia onion, some pickles and mustard, and you will eat the best burger you’ve ever put in your mouth.

I sure hope Sam’s Club continues to carry this unique blend. When it comes to hamburger, it’s the best there is.
