Not many husbands give their wives a chainsaw for a birthday present, but I did, and Nancy loves it. My sweet wife loves to putz around the yard, sprucing up, weeding, watering and general maintenance. I would consider that work. She considers it therapy. In her therapy, she is having an on-going war with a certain holly bush in the front yard and a stand of forsythia in the back. Both threaten to take over, but Nancy does constant battle.
I happened to see an ad for an Emoseony Mini Chain Saw. It was about $59 and I bought it, wrapped it and hoped for the best. Nancy tore into the box, plugged it in – it’s rechargeable – and was soon at it. The holly bush doesn’t stand a prayer.
This cordless, power chainsaw is handheld and is perfect for pruning and decapitating small limbs. It is perfectly safe, with a safety cover flip to prevent wood splashing and errant chips and it has an open safety lock and trigger to prevent accidental starting. It even has a light for prowling around in the dark, looking for a threatening limb – or some teenagers in a horror movie. It comes with a battery, of course, and though it is small (33-inches and a pound and a half) it can take down a 3-inch limb in 4 seconds flat.
It comes installed with the chain so all you have to do is charge it and start whacking.
Maybe you wife won’t want one, but they are handy little gizmos to have around.
