Ceramic stove tops don’t like it when you tip over a glass bottle of olive oil on the edge of the stove top. They crack right down the middle and you have to buy a new stovetop. Happened to me a few weeks ago and now I keep a plastic bottle of olive oil handy – not glass.
When Doug’s Maytag delivered my new ceramic stove top. I asked about cleaning, as this has been a genuine pain, especially with a white stove top. Doug suggested a cleaning kit from Affresh. We tried it and it really works. We had been using Weiman’s cleaner and it doesn’t even compare with the effectiveness of Affresh.
Our starter kit included a plastic bottle of Affresh, a scraper (basically a razor blade) and a cleaning pad.
The directions suggest using the scraper for any large blobs that may cook on, then applying the Affresh and rubbing clean with the pad.
Only rarely do I use the scraper anymore. I just wait till the stove top has cooled, squirt a little Affresh on the stained parts and wipe away (easily) with the pad.
This handy little plastic bottle has saved me worlds of grunt work in the kitchen. It’s a product that truly, truly works. It’s worth every penny!
Affresh Cooktop Cleaner. Try some.
