The world is divided into two groups of people. Those who own and use Macs, and all the others – the PC people. I learned what little – and I stress what little – I know about computers on a Mac. Barbara Livesay, my graphic designer for Virginia Outdoor Weekly, said they were easier to work with and that even someone with a pea for a brain (like me) could use them. So for the past 25 years, I have been turning out articles and other jibberish on a Mac laptop.
But even Macs have bad hair days. Something goes wrong, and other than shut it down and reboot, I haven’t the foggiest idea what to do. Fortunately, I met a fellow named Daniel Roell who owns Mac Life Support and he has saved my computer skin on numerous occasions. He understands he is dealing with a complete doofus and is very patient and kind.
Daniel fixes my mistakes, replaces ink cartridges on my printer, tells me when I need updates and he is very accommodating if it’s an emergency.
I don’t know how these computer people come to learn and know about all this stuff. It must be genetic, and I surely lack any of those genes. But as long as Daniel is around, I can breathe easy as far as getting my Mac back up and running. If you have one of those PCs, Daniel can’t help you.
But if you ever need a friendly, congenial expert to service your Mac, give him a call at 434-978-2999 or shoot him an email at Daniel Roell <danielroell@gmail.com>.
