That’s what they are – mean bastards. There is no other way to describe them. I’m talking about those a…holes who leave a voice mail on your cell or land line that there has been a $400 or so charge to Amazon and that if you didn’t authorize it, to call them and give them your real credit card number and information so they can steal from you.
They are mean bastards. They are not bilking an insurance company or a government program, and they are not committing fraud because their children are hungry. They are deliberately stealing or trying to steal money from ordinary Americans.
And there is really nothing we can do. They exist only in cyber-space with no address to track them down.
Amazon, of course, notifies you immediately about any order you placed and then tells you when it’s shipped. They do not make sham calls.
Another scam going around – I get two calls a day on this – is that the extended warranty on your automobile warranty has expired. They also want your credit card number so they can charge you for a service that does not exist

There are evil people in this world – more than I’d like to admit. They are truly mean bastards.
