Travinia’s Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar has become one of our go-to restaurants when we feel like Italian, an upscale dinner and a cozy atmosphere. Nancy especially likes it when we can eat outside on their patio near the fire pits.
Almost always, I order a veal dish or one of their authentic Italian entrees, but recently I felt like I didn’t need all that pasta and ordered the Tenderloin Medallions. A great choice. They were terrific.
I was expecting some small tenderloin tips, but was surprised to find two sizeable beef tenderloins smothered with a scrumptious Dijon Cream Sauce. I ordered the beef cooked medium, nice and pink, and it was done perfectly. And rather than two pounds of pasta, the side was a more manageable portion of Roasted Fingerling Potatoes and Herbs.
Our appetizer, Fried Calamari was delicious as usual, and we love their fresh bread served with the warm oil and spices for dipping. I suppose their desserts are also delicious, but we’ve never had room to try any after our meal
Travinia’s has provided us with consistently good service. Only once did we have a waitress who did not check back on us. Our server last week was a young man named Stephen and he was first-class.
