A great Italian restaurant in Covington?
No way!
Yes, way!
It’s called Cucci’s. I’ve eaten there on several occasions and the food is authentic Italian and very good. Cucci’s is a popular local hangout. The one-acre parking lot stays packed, except on Sundays, when they are closed.
Cucci’s prepares their food fresh and daily, including fresh breads. They offer a wide selection of Italian sandwiches and entrees. I tried their Meat Ball Sub and it was excellent.
A most interesting dish that your won’t see often is Spaghetti Picata, a Sicilian dish. They also do an excellent Eggplant Parm.
They serve delicious pizzas (their specialty) with a sweeter sauce than you usually find. Their subs and calzones are also good. Cucci’s has a massive salad bar, all you can eat. The wine selection leaves much to be desired, but the beer is cold.
If you find yourself hungry on a trip near Covington, take the first exit off I-64 heading west, make a left, go to the top of the hill on the right and enjoy some excellent cuisine at Cucci’s, a very nice Italian restaurant. The address is 556 E. Madison St. The phone number is (540) 962-3964.
