All the other fast-food restaurants spend much of their time chasing after Chick-fil-A, a true innovator in the business and the Closed-On-Sundays chain has done it again with their Honey Pepper Pimento and Chicken Sandwiches.
I had seen them advertised on TV, and being a lover of anything with pimento cheese, I had to try them. I did and they were as advertised – delicious. I ordered the mild version, not the extra spicy, but the pimento cheese and the few jalapenos they add to the sweet sauce and chicken patties is a perfect complement, giving a bit of kick to what is already a great sandwich.
They run a bit over $8 with taxes, so they’re not cheap, but one sandwich and a small order of fries is rich and filling.
If you don’t particularly care for pimento cheese, stick with the original Chick-fil-A sandwich. But if you like a bit of spiciness and a change of pace, try the Chick-fil-A Honey Pepper Pimento and Chicken Sandwich next time you order out for fast food.
