Bonefish Grill is known for one thing – Bang Bang Shrimp. It’s their specialty and they do it like no one else.
For Valentine’s Day this year, Nancy and I decided to celebrate the occasion of Valentine’s Eve – the night before. That way we could enjoy a leisurely Valentine’s Day dinner without standing in line, having to wait on servers and being rushed though dinner. We chose Bonefish and as soon as we sat down, we placed an order for Bang Bang Shrimp – a great start to a great meal.
There are any numbers of suggested recipes to reproduce Bang Bang Shrimp alaBonefish Grill, but none succeed. The shrimp are cooked to perfection and then tossed with a spicey sauce made with mayonnaise, chili sauce, and sriracha. It’s nice and spicy, but not overly so. It’s perfect.
When we eat at Bonefish, we are torn between their Wagyu Burgers, their Fish and Chips, their tenderloins (the best in town) and other specials, but we always get a order of Bang Bang Shrimp. That and a dozen red roses make a wonderful start for Valentine’s Day or any occasion.
