The Charlottesville Municipal Bad summer concert season is now in full swing. Local music enthusiasts can therefore swing to another great performance scheduled for July 31.
Summer Concert #5 is set for Tuesday, July 31 at the Paramount Theater on the Downtown Mall. The concert gets underway at 7:30 pm and is, as always, free to the public.
Featured are Steve Layman, Music Director and Conductor, Charles Torian, Guest Conductor, and Jason Dech, Trombone Soloist. There will also be a Musical Instrument Petting Zoo for youngsters from 7 – 7:30, but please don’t throw peanuts in the tubas.
On the playlist will be Star Spangled Banner, On the Mall, Chorale and Shaker Dance, Sea Songs, Air from Ancient Ireland, Morceau Symphonique, Jason Dech, trombone soloist, Der Lehrmeister, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Charlottesville Jubilee, Guardians of the Galaxy, Marching Up Broadway, Semper Fideles and maybe an encore if we applaud long enough.
Sounds like a great program. See you there.
