A big event is on the horizon for the Charlottesville Municipal Band. The Fall Benefit Concert on Tuesday Nov. 14 at the Paramount is more than just another great concert by some of Charlottesville’s most talented musicians. It’s also a “Band Aid”, if you will. All ticket sales will go toward the special $500,000 matching grant.
The special program will included classical, popular, and jazz selections as well as music from Broadway and the Silver Screen, and will feature guest vocalists Rebecca Ewing and Dan Barrale, as well as trombonist Robert Graham.
Ticket Prices – and remember, they will be matched by the special grant – are as follows:
$ 50.00 Friend
$ 250.00 Musician (2 tickets to concert and reception)
$ 500.00 Ensemble (4 tickets to concert and reception)
$ 1,000.00 Director (6 tickets to concert and reception)
$ 2,500 Sponsor (8 tickets to concert and reception)
This annual concert is your chance to give back to the “Soundtrack” of the Charlottesville community. Contributions in the form of tickets to this fun event help sustain the Charlottesville Municipal Band all year. Says Band Director, Steve Layman, “Thank you for your support and commitment!”
